Last Saturday, NYC Child Care Resource and Referral Consortium hosted over 150 providers for its annual Provider Appreciation Day during Provider Appreciation week. NYC CCR&R Consortium comprises four organizations- Committee For Hispanic Children & Families, Child Development Support Corporation, CPC, and Day Care Council of New York. Each organization had staff present information on wellness, and breakout rooms were offered in English, Chinese, and Spanish. Thank you to our exhibitors, such as Quality Stars NY, and Brooklyn Public Library, for providing resources and information to providers.
We would also like to thank Claudia Soriano, OCFS NYC regional manager, for providing insights about new ways OCFS will support child care providers and Shamara Frederick from DOHMH Bureau of Child Care for letting providers know about improvements to the Comprehensive Background Clearance system.
Lastly, congratulations to provider Wen Yu Hwang-Tsui on the Child Care Provider award and Linda Wu from CPC ECLW on her staff recognition award.
