Asian Child Care Resources & Referral (ACCR) offers high quality professional development opportunities and training courses in both English, Chinese and Spanish (limited) to licensed family-based child care providers, early childhood professionals, and legally exempt providers caring for infants, toddlers, pre-school and school age children. 30-HOUR COHORT

The trainings are designed to: (1) Help fulfill the 30-hour requirement for initial licensing and renewal. (2) Cover topics such as preventing injuries, supervision, SIDS, SBS, Child Abuse, Food Safety, Preventing Disease Transmission and Caring for Ill Children. (3) Educate providers to gain the knowledge and the skills necessary to manage a medical emergency. (4) Help providers to know the essential responsibilities of a first aid responder and basic first aid care.
Our 30-hour Cohort Training in compliance with New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) Training Content Topic Areas and Core Body of Knowledge.
FIRST AID/CPR
The objective of this training is to help Providers gain knowledge and the skills necessary to manage a medical emergency. IT centers on the essential responsibilities of a first aid responded; and basic first aid care, both in and out of the daycare site.

HEALTH & SAFETY
All new family or group family providers must complete this 15–hour State-approved training course before becoming a licensed Provider. This course covers topics such as preventing injuries, supervision, SIDS, SBS, Child Abuse, Food Safety, Preventing Disease Transmission and Caring for Ill Children.

MEDICATION ADMINSITRATION TRAINING
Provides training to participants to understand OCFS regulations for medication administration for children in a childcare setting and provides guidance on other com-mon health issues for children, including asthma and food and environmental allergies.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE (CDA) – (120 hours)
The CDA National Credentialing Program is based on the knowledge of the nation’s leading scholars in early care and learning. CDAs are able to meet the specific needs of children and work with parents and other adults to nurture children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth in a child development framework.

Earning a CDA credential can improve your skills and confidence in working with children. It can also increase your opportunities for advancement in the early childhood field by helping you become eligible for positions such as Director, Group Leader, and Assistant Teacher.
